Description

Every piece that I create holds a part of me. But, the 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗿'𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 collection bears all. It depicts my road of escape and healing from domestic violence. I honor all that it took to create them, and the surrender it takes to alchemize pain and trauma into the balm that heals. I honor and offer genuine connection by sharing the story behind each piece. And I give soul hugs with the hope it empowers, and/or validates other survivors.

My spiritual way of being and seeing things may include or exclude your practices and beliefs. But, understand that I am connected to all. You don't have to take my way home, take yours...we'll both get there.

𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗶 - (power, energy, force):

The moon is divine feminine energy. It symbolizes our desires, inner feelings, things we haven't become conscious about ourselves yet, and our shadow self. Shakti carries this energy. We all do.

The full moon is for setting intentions and releasing things that do not serve us. Shakti is releasing and intentional about her healing. The gold spiral moving up her spine is Kundalini (divine energy that lies dormant until awakened). Once awakened, it rises up the Muladhara chakra, through the central Nadi which is inside or alongside the spine reaching the top of the head (crown chakra).
