This world is in dire need of more bearers, soothsayers, shamans, healers, and ancient storytellers. We desperately need to be reminded of the magic that lies in our bellies waiting to be stirred and spewed. We are of both darkness and light. Give power to the purge and merge whole and wholly free to heal even the deepest of wounds. Bring light to the darkest of tales and deeds. We are not of this world. We are the creators and keepers of it. Therefore, we can create a new thing. We can balance the yin and yang. We are more...so much more than we’ve allowed ourselves to perceive and believe. Cross the bridge, bear down and give birth.

Canessa Thomas, a Georgia native, is a self-taught artist, photographer, published author and poet. Her first book of poetry, The Strongest Element: Love Survival, was published Dec. 10, 2007. She has a passion for digital art, collage, mixed media, and photography. Her photography has been exhibited at the Palazzo Cà Zanardi - Venice, Italy (June 14th-16th, 2019); Blank Wall Gallery - Athens, Greece (July 12th- 14th, 2019) and Qlick Gallery-Amsterdam, Netherlands (July 29th - August 23, 2019). Canessa is also an avid hiker and adventurer who loves nature and the night sky.
